DESCRIPTION: This is a normal tracing or linear record of the electric current generated by the brain. It is useful in detecting and localizing brain injuries and tumors, in differentiating forms of epilepsy, and brain degeneration for a patient. This series is used to rule out organic brain syndrome and monitor seizure activity.

This series includes an EEG History Form, patient's name, medical information, signatures of psychiatrist and physician, technician's history regarding test administration, and diagnosis. In 1992 this series was combined with Series 82135.
