DESCRIPTION: The ADABAS Position Control File is used by agencies to reference information about the cost of staff positions within their agency. It documents when the position was established, who is currently occupying it, the amount of money budgeted for the position, and actual costs for each position. This is current information only. Each pay period, it is updated with new information and any old information is deleted. This is part of the Payroll System. It includes employee name, social security number, their classification and status, the amount paid, the hours worked, and the total cost for the employee's job.
