DESCRIPTION: These records were created and kept to monitor and document the State Land Board's investments in the bonds issued by Utah cities and school districts. All such obligations had to be offered to the state prior to being sold on the open market. Includes correspondence, accounts receivable sheets, accounts payable ledgers, securities, town minutes, financial reports, cash register receipts, yearly payments, and municipal bonds. In 1941 (special session, ch. 10) all of the Land Board's investments were turned over to the State Treasurer to handle payments into the accounts.
