DESCRIPTION: These are copies of permits issued to all successful applicants of special hunts and to individuals holding licenses for regular hunts or fishing to document their eligibility to hunt or fish. The original permit is issued to the individual and must accompany the license for the individual to legally participate. The information on these permits includes name, address, telephone number, physical characteristics, type of license held, and driver's license number.

Administrative Legal

RDR 65-19 gave a retention of three years for all special and regular permits. Utah Code Annotated 23-4-6, stated that elk hunting permits were to be maintained five years. The statute has since been repealed. This records series is submitted for classification and consistent retention.
