Scope and Content

State planning agencies throughout the nation made long-range plans for the development of their state's transportation systems. They worked cooperatively with federal, state, and local agencies to create studies of traffic movement, airports, roadside developments, marking, farm-to-market roads, zoning, parkways, recreational areas, public finance, and other problems, This series includes reports on airports and airways; a preliminary transportation plan; railroad company addresses and freight rates; and maps of railroad lines, a road map of Utah, and a map of a ten-year road improvement plan.
