Scope and Content

These binders form a synopsis of the governor's interactions with the annual legislature. The binders include information on the annual budget, including the governor's Budget in Brief; the final legislative bill summary report; a listing of bills passed; a description of the bills; and listings or transmittal letters for bills the Governor acted on by signing, allowing to become law without his signature, or vetoing. Press conferences, speeches about legislative activities, correspondence, and newspaper clippings which pertain to legislation also are included. The 1988 binder does not include any budget information.
