Scope and Content
This series contains a single volume of the codified and published version of ordinances adopted by the city council. The council appointed attorney David W. Moffat in March 1909 to "compile and revise" the city's ordinances. The compilation was published in 1911 by P. K. Nielson with a printing of 200 copies. The ordinances are codified by chapter and section and cover various aspects of city operation, including municipal elections, duties and powers of officials, and city revenue and taxes. Ordinances also regulate various activities in the city, including animals, building construction, business licensing, tobacco and liquor, nuisances, and curfew.
