Scope and Content

This series contains a published history of the school district entitled "History of Granite School District, 1904-1976; its Roots in Utah and American Education." The book was "written and compiled" by Marie E. Gooderham of the district Office of Instructional Services as an American Revolution Bicentennial project and published by the school district. The book includes background information on the development of public education in the United States and in Utah, as well as a narrative history of the school district. The book also contains an inventory of school buildings in the district, including construction dates, architects, name changes, number of classrooms, and principals.

Tucked inside the book were several blank student cumulative record cards.
