Scope and Content

This series contains scrapbooks compiled by the mayor's office containing clippings of newspaper articles about the city related to government topics, including city administration, elections, financial reports, legal notices, schools, taxes, and financial reports. Earlier albums contain a subject index with the overall arrangement ordered by the date of the article's publication, and later albums omit the index. The bylines of the articles in later albums indicate that the articles come from a variety of sources such as the Desert News, the Salt Lake Tribune, and The Daily Herald. The clippings of articles in earlier albums often lack bylines, so the exact newspaper from which the article was clipped from is unclear.
