Scope and Content

These are the records of all of the wells in the state. The files are divided into Confidential Drilling Files, Drilling Files, and Temporarily Abandoned Files. Included in the files are inspection records, sundry notice and report on wells, well completion or re-completion report and log, application for permit to drill, deepen or plug back, and log of oil or gas well. Information includes the lease number, the well number, the location, the dates and results of inspection, the casing record, the production method, and the date approval to drill was granted. Merged into this series was series 3020 containing the Intention to drill notices from 1964 thru 1985.
