The court clerk was responsible for sending the federal Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization a duplicate of the certificate\, ""and to make and keep on file in his office a stub for each certificate so issued by him\, whereon shall be entered a memorandum of all the essential facts set forth in such certificate."" The preprinted stub forms were in volumes issued by the Bureau of Naturalization.
