There are also telegraphs\, copies of poems\, and a souvenir program of the inaugural ball. It covers the period when Spry was appointed U.S._Marshal\, the two terms he was Governor of Utah\, and a period in the federal Land Office to his death in 1929 and the settlement of his estate. There are many letters congratulating him on his appointment or election to office. Correspondence on personal business dealings\, particularly in regard to land\, mining claims\, and stocks\, are common throughout. During his years as governor\, there are many letters from personal friends or fellow,Republicans expressing opinions on various political issues or seeking personal or political favors.
