This account book documents appropriations by the legislature for those purposes and the expenditures made by the commissioners. The first part of the book is a chronological listing of receipts and expenditures. The left hand pages list appropriations or receipts\, such as some funding from the Salt Lake City Council. The right hand pages list expenditures for supplies\, grading\, wages\, per diem\, fencing\, landscaping\, trenching and reservoir work\, etc.,The second part of the book is sectioned into various types of accounts:__bills payable\, building\, fence\, reservoir\, water works\, per diem\, miscellaneous\, etc. Each entry contains date\, payee's name\, nature of expenditure\, and amount.
