Scope and Content
This series contains a single volume of the codified and published version of ordinances adopted by the city council. The council appointed attorney William J. Lowe as "Official Revisor of the City Ordinances of Willard City" in March 1913 and Lowe compiled the ordinances and they were published that year. Over half of the volume is comprised of provisions of the Utah State Constitution and state statute relative to municipalities. The remainder of the book is devoted to ordinances of Willard City. The ordinances are codified by chapter and section and cover various aspects of city operation, including municipal elections, duties and powers of officials, and city revenue and taxes. Ordinances also regulate various activities in the city, including animals, building construction, business licensing, tobacco and liquor, nuisances, and curfew.
