Scope and Content
These books contain the official records of arrests by the Salt Lake City Police Department, and were also used to track arrest statistics. Information about each case is recorded under the following column headings: date of arrest, name of officer making arrest, name of defendant, height, age, nativity, occupation, offense, personal property, cash, bail, fine, and remarks.
Gaps in Series
There is a gap in this series from 1878 to 1891. It is not clear whether these particular records were not created during that period or if the records have been lost over time.
