Scope and Content

This series includes four large books, used by the justice court to record the name, date, and verdict of those charged in Salt Lake City for being drunk in a public place. Records also include the name of the Justice of the Peace, the date of the hearing, and the fine paid (if applicable). Each book has one or two corresponding indexes, which are bound separately.
